Punchestown Price boost: Quevega 2/1 for World domination

Coral are offering a crazy enhanced price of 2/1 for Quevega winning today’s Ladbrokes World Series Hurdle at the Punchestown Festival (17.30).

The offer is available from 8.30am through all remote channels to new and existing customers, up to a maximum of £20.(Available from 8.30am May the 1st)

Willie Mullins’ mare became the first horse in history to win six races at the Cheltenham Festival when getting up to beat stable companion Glens Melody in the OLBG Mares’ Hurdle at Prestbury Park last month.

The 10-year-old has also won this race for the last four year’s on the bounce, and once again has the services of Ruby Walsh in the saddle.

She looked as good ever when digging deep to beat stable companion Glens Melody at Cheltenham by 3/4 of a length and take her career earnings to over £717,000.

The daughter of Robin Des Champs is now unbeaten in her last nine starts, a run which stretches back to March 2010.

It’s a remarkable feat by her County Carlow handler to produce her year after year to win races given her fragile nature, and she is a real class act who travels strongly, has a turn of foot and a real willingness to dig deep when needed at the business end of affairs.

This is arguably the toughest task she has faced given that she is taking on the boys in the shape of At Fishers Cross and Fingal Bay, but Mullins reports her to be in terrific shape and ready to roll.

Quevega fully deserves her position at the head of the market, and her legion of fans are sure to be clambering to get on at the 2/1 on offer with Coral.

That price won’t last forever, so if you are one of them then get on while it lasts.
