Coral #LoveRacing ambassador gets to grip with some tough training for charity race

Love Island star Chris Hughes was back at Jonjo O’Neill’s Jackdaws Castle for some serious training this week – in preparation for his debut as a jockey riding in the Ride of their Lives charity race at York Racecourse in June.

This week, Chris worked with former jockey Dominic Elsworth on his technique and his fitness, first riding work on the gallops again on Clubs Are Trumps, and then taking to the Equiciser to work on his riding technique.

Chris Hughes says: “I’ve had another great morning at Jonjo’s. I rode out again and got on the Equiciser with Dominic Elsworth, who put me through my paces. My fitness is definitely improving!”

Coral ambassador Chris Hughes will ride in the Best Western Hotels & Macmillan Ride of their Lives charity race at York Racecourse on June 16th over one mile, raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support in the build up to the race. Donate here.

Coral PR Director Simon Clare says: “Chris’s fitness is improving already, and will continue to improve in the coming weeks with regular visits to  Jonjo O’Neill’s. Working with Dominic Elsworth this week has really helped Chris tighten up his riding technique too.”
