Manning on verge of NFL history in Broncos’ Week 9 Colts clash

DEN Broncos @ IND Colts
It will be a homecoming of sorts on Sunday for quarterback Peyton Manning, who can set the NFL all-time record for most career passing yards while facing his former teammates when his Denver Broncos visit the Indianapolis Colts as 5-point favourites in NFL betting with Coral.
Manning led the Colts offense for 13 seasons, claiming NFL MVP honours on four occasions. He also guided the team to victory in Super Bowl XLI, before being sidelined for a year with a neck injury, and subsequently moving on to Denver to make room for current Colts pivot Andrew Luck.
The 39 year-old veteran enters Sunday’s Broncos v Colts matchup just 283 yards short of the current record, held by the legendary Brett Favre.
Manning tallied 340 passing yards in Denver’s 29-10 win over Green Bay last weekend, handing the Packers their first SU loss of the season while keeping the Broncos undefeated with a perfect 7-0 SU record on the season.
Conversely, Indianapolis battles their former leader while still reeling from a disappointing 29-26 loss to the undefeated Carolina Panthers.
Led by Luck, the Colts erased a 17-point fourth-quarter deficit and briefly grabbed the lead in overtime, before the Panthers responded with a pair of field goals to cap the win.
That loss drops Indianapolis to 3-5 SU on the season, leaving them deadlocked with the Houston Texans atop the AFC South standings, just a half game ahead of Jacksonville.
JAX Jaguars @ NY Jets
The Jaguars return to action on Sunday following a bye last week, paying a visit to New York to battle the Jets as 6.5-point underdogs.
Jacksonville enters Week 9 with a middling 2-5 record, but showed character in fending off a late rally in a 34-31 win over the Buffalo Bills two weeks ago, and with six games remaining against teams with losing records are an intriguing 7/1 bet to claim their first divisional crown since 1999.
The Jets have dropped two straight, giving up 32 points per game in those losses after allowing just 14.2 points per game over their first five outings. With pivot Ryan Fitzpatrick getting the nod despite nursing an injured thumb, the Jets may be more reliant on their ground game, which has generated just 81.5 yards per game over their last two.
GB Packers @ CAR Panthers
Undefeated Panthers will be gunning for an eighth straight SU win when they host the Green Bay Packers as 3-point underdogs.
Carolina rides a 12-1 SU run into their meeting with the Pack, led by quarterback Cam Newton, who has thrown or run for two TDs in each of the Panthers’ last six games.
Green Bay is looking to rebound from their loss to the Broncos, who held Aaron Rodgers to under 100 passing yards in a complete game performance for the first time in his NFL career.
The Packers are an ordinary 4-4 SU and ATS in their last eight on the road, but have topped Carolina in their last two meetings, and are 6-2 SU in their last eight against the Panthers.
In other NFL betting action at Coral, the Bills look to end a two-game SU losing streak when they welcome the Miami Dolphins to town as 3-point favourites.
The Philadelphia Eagles visit the Dallas Cowboys as 2.5-point favourites, while the New England Patriots have emerged as big 14-point favourites over the Washington Redskins.
