NFL: Bengals, Broncos and 49ers can continue winning start

The NFL season is up and running, so Coral continue to give amazing offers to customers.

Here’s why you should back individual odds-on favourites Cincinnati Bengals, Denver Broncos and San Francisco 49ers all to win at an enhanced price of 5/4.

Atlanta Falcons at Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals opened their season with a win on the road at division rivals Baltimore Ravens. Baltimore have the second-best home record in the NFL since 2008, so the 23-16 victory at M&T Bank Stadium was an excellent result which bodes well for Cincinnati.

Atlanta also triumphed in Week 1, defeating the New Orleans Saints 37-34 at home in a tense, high-scoring encounter that could have gone either way. The Saints lost that game after a fumble in overtime, which gifted the Falcons their position to set up the winning field goal.

A trip to Paul Brown Stadium looks to be a much more daunting prospect for Atlanta. Their defense remains suspect, and Falcons wide receiver Roddy White spoke this week of the need for their offense to average 30 points-per-game in order for the team to win regularly this season.

That looks to be a big ask this weekend, however, as they will come up against a stout Bengals defense that has conceded more than 20 points in just three of their last 10 home games. Punters should therefore back Cincinnati to come out on top in this clash.

Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos
The Chiefs performed dreadfully last time out, and were blown-out by the Tennessee Titans in front of their own fans. As if that was not bad enough, the team then discovered that two of their players (linebacker Derrick Johnson and defensive end Mike DeVito) had suffered season-ending injuries in the defeat.

Chiefs are thus depleted for this trip to Mile High where they face a Broncos side that are much more potent than Tennessee. Denver defeated a decent Indianapolis Colts side 31-24 last Sunday.

This contest appears to be a mismatch, which is reflected in the Broncos’ status as 13 point-favourites with Coral. A spread of nearly two touchdowns shows the bookies believe it would be a massive upset if Denver do not win. Punters would be wise to side with the Colorado outfit.

Chicago Bears at San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco dominated the Dallas Cowboys on their way to a 28-17 away win in their season opener. The 49ers were particularly efficient at converting turnovers into points, profiting from three interceptions and a fumble-recovery generated by the defense.

That stat will set alarm bells ringing for the Bears – they fell to a disappointing defeat at home to the Buffalo Bills last time out, due in part to two costly interceptions thrown by quarterback Jay Cutler.

Chicago’s defense also struggled, giving up 193 rushing yards against Buffalo – the third-worst performance by an NFL side against the run in Week 1. Running backs Carlos Hyde and veteran Frank Gore will, therefore, be looking to turn the screw on the Bears defense in Week 2.

Given that dual-threat quarterback Colin Kaepernick can also pick up plenty of yards on the ground, the 49ers have the potential to run all over Chicago. That, combined with a superior defense and home field advantage, should be enough to see San Francisco prevail at Levi’s Stadium.
