Surging Browns strong favourites over Jags in NFL week 7

Surprise package Cleveland Browns will be gunning for their third SU victory when they travel to Florida to take on the winless Jacksonville Jaguars as 5.5-point favourites with Coral.

The Browns (3-2) are coming off a 31-10 statement win over Pittsburgh in Week 6, and now enter a stretch of games against three of the NFL’s weakest teams that could see them positioned with a solid 6-2 record entering the second-half of the NFL campaign.

Cleveland, 3-1-1 ATS in their last five, take on an 0-6 Jaguars squad that is enduring a disastrous season. SU losers in their past nine, including four at home, the Jags eked out their first ATS win of the season last time out, scoring a TD in the dying seconds in a 16-14 loss to Tennessee as 4.5-point underdogs.

The Browns will be looking to keep pace with Baltimore Ravens, who take on Atlanta Falcons as 7-point home favourites. Baltimore (4-2) topped Tampa Bay in convincing fashion last week 48-17, led by QB Nick Foles’ five first-half TD passes.

But while the Ravens have emerged as a top five team statistically, scoring 27.3 points per game, and have rewarded bettors with a 4-1 ATS record in their last five, they have been a paper lion against Super Bowl contenders, losing SU and ATS earlier in the season to Indianapolis and Cincinnati.

While the Falcons (2-4) are not considered contenders, and have struggled on the road, 0-5 SU and 1-4 ATS in their last five away games, they own a dominating passing game that the Ravens may struggle to contain, making this match-up a potential shoot-out with the total set at 49.

Cincinnati Bengals (3-1-1) still hold a slight edge over the Browns and Ravens in the tight AFC North. Following a 37-37 tie with Carolina last weekend, their second straight loss ATS, they travel to Indianapolis to face the Colts as 3-point underdogs.

The Bengals are winless SU in their last five road games against Indy, who are riding a four-game win streak, SU and ATS, powered by QB Andrew Luck’s league-leading 1987 passing yards. Coral offer an 11/4 match special on Colts wide receiver TY Hilton touching down anytime and the hosts winning.

In other Week 7 NFL betting, New Orleans (2-3) returns to actions as 2.5-point underdogs against Detroit (4-2), while the Seattle Seahawks (3-2) look to bounce back from their shocking 30-23 loss at home to Dallas, when they visit St Louis as 6.5-point road favourites.

The surprising Cowboys (5-1) return home to face the New York Giants (3-3) as 6.5-point favourites, while Peyton Manning will look to set the NFL’s all-time record for most career TD passes when the Broncos face San Francisco as 6.5-point favourites on Sunday night.
