Hawks and Warriors a win away from reaching NBA Conference Finals
Atlanta Hawks and Golden State Warriors can advance to the NBA Conference finals with wins in their respective games on Friday night.
Los Angeles Clippers and Houston Rockets will need a decisive Game 7 on Sunday to determine a winner in their Western Conference semi-final series.
Atlanta travel to Washington Wizards on Friday night to take on the Wizards in Game 6 of their Eastern Conference semi-final as 2.5-point underdogs with Coral.
The Hawks took a 3-2 series lead with a narrow 82-81 home victory in Game 5, failing to cover as seven-point favourites. While the win puts Atlanta just one game away from claiming their first-ever berth in the Eastern Conferemce final, they have continued to struggle to produce wins on the road, and reward loyal punters.
Atlanta enter Game 6 at Verizon Center on Friday night with just three SU wins in their last 10 road contests, and have posted back-to-back ATS wins just once in the last five weeks.
The Wizards will be looking to avoid back-to-back losses on their home floor for the first time since mid-February, and extend their current SU winning streak as home betting favourites to five games.
Golden State Warriors are also poised to advance to the NBA’s final four with a SU win on Friday when they visit Memphis Grizzlies in Game 6 as solid five-point favourites.
Since falling behind 2-1 in the series, the Warriors have been simply dominant, crushing Memphis is a pair of lopsided SU and ATS wins in Games 4 and 5, pushing the overmatched Grizzlies to the brink of elimination.
With their 98-78 victory in Game 5 on Wednesday night, the Warriors have now beaten the Grizzlies by an average margin of 17.3 points in each of their three wins, while holding Memphis to an average of just 82.6 points per game.
During the series, Golden State have come nowhere close to matching their league-high 110.0 points per game. Despite their own offensive struggles, the Grizzlies have held the Warriors to an average of just 100 points in each of their three wins, and just 95.8 points per game over the course of the series.
Accordingly, the point total has played UNDER in all five games in the series so far, and has plummeted to 193.5 in Game 6.
Golden State remain perched atop the NBA championship odds at Coral, as an even-money bet, and is a steep 1/33 bet to get past the Grizzlies in online series betting.
After taking a commanding 3-1 series lead, the LA Clippers will have to rebound from back-to-back losses and pick up a win in Game 7 on Sunday to vanquish Houston Rockets and earn a berth in the Western Conference final.
The Clippers dropped a stunning 119-107 decision on home court in Game 6, suffering their second straight blowout loss to the Rockets, who had looked like a beaten team after being routed by the Clippers, 128-95, in Game 5.
Five of the six games in the series have now been won by wide double-digit margins, including three games settled by 21 or more points, pushing the point total OVER in all six games so far.
The losses in Game 5 and 6 have devastated the Clippers’ NBA Championship odds at Coral, which have now tumbled to 8/1 after peaking at 3/1 earlier in the series. The Rockets’ surprising turnaround, meanwhile, has vaulted them to 12/1 from as far as 28/1.
