Superstar veteran Marco among TV tips for Harlow and Towcester

Marco can land six-timer at Towcester

There is mixed-race action from Harlow and Towcester on Racing Post Greyhound TV tonight (Sky 468, Freesat 250), and T3 Blackstone Marco can turn on the style again at the latter to land the six-timer in the RPGTV Standard Final (21:24).

Heather Dimmock’s veteran is one of the most popular dogs in training and has won seven of his 10 starts at the venue.

He is also three from four when sporting the white jacket, and overcame trouble in-running in last week’s heat to power home and beat Famias Hope by 1/2 a length for a fifth win on the bounce.

Although he has a marginally quicker start on his inside in Trap 2 in the shape of the thriving Mad About Rioga, Marco has enough early pace to turn handy and kick in the turbo in the middle part of the race to make his class tell and extend his winning sequence.

Moopaige Larlee makes plenty of appeal

In the S2 (21:56), T2 Moopaige Larlee can exploit what looks a peach of a draw to land the spoils.

Kevin Hutton’s son of Ace High Rumble is right at the top of his game at present and comes into the contest on the back of three straight successes over course and distance.

The last of those came in an open race seven days ago where he was quick away and produced a 14.29 sectional before running on strongly to score by 1/2 a length.

This represents a drop in class and, with a slow starter in Trap 1 and four wide runners on his outside, Moopaige Larlee should get acres of space on the run to the first bend and can quickly grab the rails to turn in front and make all.

Werwolf the standout wager at Harlow

T4 American Werwolf opened his account at the first time of asking at Harlow in impressive fashion and rates a solid bet to follow-up in the Stayers Open on this evening’s card (21:48).

Claude Gardiners’ dog showed bags of early pace before taking up the running at the fourth bend and forging clear to beat the useful Moors Matilda by eight lengths.

That form reads well in the context of this contest and the son of Ace Hi Rumble has enough early dash to clear the inside.

American Werewolf should then be in the perfect position to put his back straight pace and stamina to good use to pick up likely leader Gentle Charlie who runs from Trap 5.

Talltrees Lady to bloom again

In the Standard Open (21:15), T3 Talltrees Lady looks decent value to land the four-timer.

Tommy Batchelor’s bitch is four from five at the venue and two from three when sporting the white jacket.

She comes into the race having won an A5 and an A4 by an average of just under five lengths, before taking the step up into Open race company in her stride to make all and score by 1 1/4 lengths seven days ago.

On each occasion the daughter of Ja Mann has shown bags of early dash, and a repeat of the lightning 4.77 sectional she produced two starts back would be more than good enough to see her turn the first bend in front.

If that proves to be the case, Talltrees Lady is going to be tough to peg back.
