Cheshire and West Yorkshire derbies feature in Magic Weekend day two

Coral present all best odds for the rest of the Super League matches as Magic Weekend continues on day two. With St James’ Park hosting it for the first time, a capacity crowd is expected for what is usually a fun, good-natured occasion.

Catalans Dragons v Huddersfield Giants
Following a 58-16 demolition of third place Wigan Warriors last time out, Catalans will be high on confidence and are 5/4 with Coral to to pick two point up against Huddersfield.

Both Tony Gigot and Zeb Taia crossed for hat-tricks in Perpignon and both have decent 11/8 odds in the anytime market to score once again.

The Giants also won previously, beating Castleford 24-16 with Eorl Crabtree getting on the scoresheet and having a good game; he is 4/1 to breach the whitewash anytime.

St Helens v Warrington Wolves
The Saints, in second spot, will be hoping to close the gap on leaders Leeds Rhinos and also put distance between themselves and third place Wigan, It is a tough ask, though, against neighbours Warrington, who lie in fifth and perfectly positioned for an assault on the top three.

Keiron Cunningham’s side are odds-on at 4/6 to take the two points on Tyneside, however, made hard work of beating Hull FC in a 17-10 victory on Humberside last time out.

Tommy Makinson crossed against Lee Radford’s side and is 7/1 to breach the in-goal area first against the Wolves, or an odds-on 8/13 anytime price.

Having recently re-signed Shannon McDonnell in April, the 27-year-old also got on the scoresheet and is 2/1 in the anytime market.

Castleford Tigers v Wakefield Wildcats
Two sides who lost last time out, meet in what is always usually a well-contested derby. Although Wakefield are rock bottom of the Super League, position means nothing in this fixture, and the Wildcats are 9/2 to upset the odds. Tom Johnstone scored in the defeat to Widnes and is decent value at 11/8 to repeat that against Daryl Powell’s outfit.

The Tigers are odds-on at 1/7 to win the game, and, despite a 24-16 loss to the Giants previously were good in parts. Michael Shenton, in particular stood out, scoring in the match and is odds-on at 8/13 to do so again anytime.
