Coral provide latest odds on five clubs who could win Super League Grand Final

With the Super League heading into the business end of the season, Coral preview five possible clubs who could win the competition.

Although the league leaders shield is awarded to the club who top the table, the big prize is the Super League Grand Final trophy which is the culmination of a very competitive play-off competition, which on their day, any one of eight clubs can win.

With this in mind, Coral provide the latest odds in the betting for this market and suggest who could be outsiders to watch.

Leeds Rhinos: 9/4
They are currently topping the Super League standings and look likely to claim the shield, however, they have also won the Grand Final trophy five times since 2007. As such, they have become accustomed to performing best in knockout rugby and it is the last season for a number of their senior players, such as Jamie Peacock.

Wigan Warriors: 11/4
Will still be hurting after defeat to fierce rivals St Helens in the climax last time out, after forward Ben Flower was sent off for violent conduct. Shaun Wane’s side have played exceptionally this season and if they get to the play-offs with a fully fit squad, don’t bet against them.

St Helens: 11/4
Perhaps shock winners last year, the Saints have followed it up with a consistent campaign so far and are yet to slip out of the top three in the table. Again, the strength of their squad at the start of the play-offs will make a huge difference, though they certainly have team spirit in abundance.

Huddersfield Giants: 8/1
The provincial West Yorkshire club have the talent to cause a shock to the major sides and are a good price for victory. Key players such as Danny Brough, Eorl Crabtree and Jermaine McGillvary will need to be on top form to ensure their success.

Castleford Tigers: 18/1
Big outsiders at this price, though when Daryl Powell’s side get it together they look like world beaters. Their run to the Challenge Cup final last season was exemplary and they are due a major win over the next couple of years.
