Hull derby takes centre stage in Super League

It’s that time of the year again in Super League as the Easter weekend descends bringing with it plenty of top action.

We preview two top drawer matches here on Coral, presenting a number of egg-cellent tips!

Hull FC v Hull KR
Lee Radford’s side are odds-on at 10/11 with Coral to beat their fierce cross-city rivals. Jamie Shaul is set to be recalled to full back with Jordan Rankin switching to half back, following the injury of Mark Sneyd. Having scored two tries this season, Shaul is 10/1 to cross first.

It may come down to the prolific Tom Lineham, however, who has seven to his name already, and at 8/1 to breach the in-goal area first, this could be worth a bet.

The Rovers are also odds-on at 10/11 for the win, having put an end to St Helens’ 100 per cent league record this season last time out. Albert Kelly crossed twice to inspire a 24-22 victory, and as a result is a 2/1 anytime scorer chance.

Widnes v Warrington
Vikings boss Denis Betts is set to welcome Kevin Brown back into the fold, with Cheshire rivals Warrington visiting. The home side are 2/1 for the win, in what is being anticipated to be a lively encounter. Brown is 7/4 in the anytime market, while Paddy Flynn, who scored in the 36-8 defeat against Salford last time out, is injured.

Warrington were taken by surprise previously, with Huddersfield Giants recording a 29-10 victory over the Wolves at the Halliwell Jones Stadium. Despite this, they still lie fourth in Super League, and will be looking to gain as much ground on Leeds Rhinos, who occupy top spot, as they can.

Top-scorer, Kevin Penny, who crossed against the Giants is 8/1 to put the first four points on the board, while last season’s top Super League scorer Joel Monaghan has a conservative two tries to his name, though is still odds-on at 1/2 in the anytime market.
