2015 ATP World Tour Finals

London’s O2 Arena will be cheering on home hope Andy Murray as he begins his participation in this increasingly popular end of year event.

Murray meets David Ferrer in a group named after Ilie Nastase, which also pits Stan Wawrinka and Rafael Nadal against one another for the third time in quick succession.

Coral take a look at what promises to be a compelling second day of action from the 2015 ATP World Tour Finals.

Andy Murray v David Ferrer

  • Group Ilie Nastase
  • Monday, November 16th
  • Scheduled for: 14:00 GMT
  • O2 Arena, London
  • Live on Sky Sports 1 and BBC2

Second seed Murray has lost just two of 11 meetings with Ferrer on hard courts, and dropped just seven games during a recent straight sets victory over the Spanish number two in the Paris Masters semis.

Punters can thus enhance the odds-on price for Great Britain’s top tennis pro Murray to win this match (2/7) to a better 4/5 if backing him to repeat that feat and not a drop a set.

Ferrer is a foe to be taken seriously, though, as he beat Murray at the 2011 edition of this end of year tournament. Should you decide to side with the Spaniard, perhaps along the lines that Murray may be saving himself for the Davis Cup final, then an awesome 11/4 price is your reward.

Murray’s opening set triumphs in his last two encounters with Ferrer on this surface have been 6-4, so fabulous 4/1 odds say that precise scoreline shall be recorded again by the Briton.

Stan Wawrinka v Rafael Nadal

  • Group Ilie Nastase
  • Monday, November 16th
  • Scheduled for: 20:00 GMT
  • O2 Arena, London
  • Live on Sky Sports 2

This battle between the fourth and fifth seeds is perfectly poised with one win apiece from Paris and Shanghai Masters meetings.

Italy Tennis Italian Open

Late-blooming Swiss player Wawrinka needed tiebreaks to stop a once again in-form Nadal on French soil, and it’s 2/1 that either the first or second set goes the distance again here.

All-time clay court great Nadal dropped just three games in China when he crushed this opponent in straight sets, and 8/13 in the outright match betting becomes 13/8 if you back the Spaniard to record victory in this manner again.

Wawrinka is close behind at 5/4 to win, and a nifty 9/2 for 7-6 scorelines in the first or the second set. Nadal has never won this at the ATP World Tour finals, but did defeat the Swiss here in 2013 in straight sets, needing tiebreaks of his own.

Coral’s top tip: Nadal is a terrific 13/8 price to back up his brilliant return to form by wiping Wawrinka out in straight sets.
