Awesome Andy Murray specials on offer with Coral this New Year

Everyone at Coral wishes our punters a happy and healthy New Year, and to celebrate the dawning of 2015 we’re offering some tasty tennis specials on British number one Andy Murray.

Never mind ‘Auld Lang Syne’ and eating Haggis; these Scottish stereotypes for ringing in the New Year do not apply to magnificent Murray, who has the Australian Open hoving into view in January.

That is the first of four Grand Slams (with the French Open, Wimbledon and US Open) on the annual tennis calendar, and Murray is a 9/2 chance to reach the semi-finals (men’s singles) of each of these top events. He last achieved this feat back in 2011, so he knows he’s got it in him!

To reach three or more Grand Slam finals, Murray is a 7/1 shot and odds of 33/1 say he will get to the final hurdle of all four prestigious tennis tournaments.

Murray became the first British male singles winner of Wimbledon for 76 years in 2013. This was the second half of the All-England and Queen’s Club double, which the Scot is 6/1 to achieve again this coming summer.

Coral even cater for punters who are not enamored of Murray, as they offer a 4/1 price on him losing any first round match at the 2015 Grand Slam events. It may interest you to learn, Murray last bowed out in the opening contest of one of these top tournaments way back in 2008.

Away from the Grand Slam glare, there are also a couple of specials relating to Murray on the ATP Tour. He is an 8/1 chance to be ranked as world number one come the end of the season.

Murray also comes in as a 2/1 shot to claim any ATP Tour singles title contested on a clay surface, which he has traditionally struggled on. Finally, he is a 13/2 chance to win any tour singles match 6-0 6-0 (in a best of three sets).
