Hamilton shortens for third world title after Japan win

Lewis Hamilton has been cut into 1-14 (from 1-6) to win the 2015 Drivers’ Championship following his victory in the Japanese Grand Prix this morning to extend his lead at the top of the standings to 48 points. His teammate, and rival, Nico Rosberg has drifted out to 14-1 (from  9-1) while Sebastian Vettel can be backed at 20-1.

In the BBC Sports Personality of the Year betting for 2015, Hamilton is 8-1 to win the award for the second consecutive year.

“Hamilton has a commanding lead in the Drivers’ Championship standings following maximum points in Japan. As the odds suggest, it would take a turnaround from either Rosberg or Vettel to deny him his third world title,” said Coral’s John Hill.
