Judy backed for Strictly exit in Blackpool this weekend
Judy Murray has been backed into 7-4 (from 2-1) with bookmaker Coral to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing this weekend when the television show travels up to Blackpool. Despite starting at 100-1 to win the competition when the names for the current series were announced, she is now as short as 25-1 to go all the way ahead of the latest round.
Meanwhile, the firm is offering odds of 4-1 that Judy’s son Andy is in the audience on Saturday to watch her perform at the Tower Ballroom.
“Punters are thinking this week could be the week that Judy’s run comes to an end in Strictly. With Scott and Alison both biting the dust in recent weeks, the competition is now starting to heat up so is likely to be under pressure. If Judy is in the bottom two ahead of the dance-off, she will be a short odds-on favourite to depart,” said Coral’s John Hill.
Zoe Ball is expected to co-host the show for third consecutive week and Coral has cut her into 2-1 to take over from Claudia Winkleman for the rest of the series. The ‘It Takes Two’ presenter was 33-1 when betting was opened up, while she has also had her odds trimmed into 4-1 (from 10-1) to replace Claudia for the 2015 series.
