Could Mars money signal Coral-Eclipse bid for Ballydoyle colt?

The Aidan O’Brien-trained Mars is 6-1 (from 8-1) with the sponsor for next weekend’s Coral-Eclipse, following support for the recent Royal Ascot third today. Al Kazeem remains the 6-4 favourite for the Sandown showpiece, with the pair who chased him home in the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes, Mukhadram and The Fugue, both 5-1, the same price as Toronado.

“The first three home in the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes look set to renew rivalry at Sandown this weekend, while recent money for both Mars and Toronado suggest the Classic crop could be well represented in the traditional first top level clash of the generations,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
