Sam Allardyce 1-7 to be named England manager

Sam Allardyce has been cut into 1-7 (from 2-5) by bookmaker Coral to be named the next England manager after the FA said the new boss could be named as early as this week. Jurgen Klinsmann is second best at 6-1 in the firm’s betting, while Eddie Howe can be backed at 10-1.

Elsewhere, Arsenal are the 3-1 favourites to secure the signature of Riyad Mahrez who could be set for an exit away from the Premier League champions Leicester, while Paul Pogba is 1-3 to wrap up his transfer to Manchester United for what could be a world record transfer fee.
