Saxon Warrior cut for Derby after Beresford win

Coral has cut Saxon Warrior to 12-1 (from 16-1) for next year’s Investec Derby, following the colt’s victory in this afternoon’s Beresford Stakes at Naas.  Stablemate The Pentagon heads the Epsom betting at 10-1.

“Saxon Warrior’s Naas victory cements trainer Aidan O’Brien’s domination of the betting on next year’s Investec Derby, and it will take something special for the winter favourite for the Epsom Classic to be trained outside of Ballydoyle,” said Coral’s David Stevens.

Earlier at the Irish track, Quiet Reflection returned to winning ways and is now 6-1 (from 16-1) with Coral for the QIPCO British Champions Sprint, the market for which is headed by Harry Angel at 6-4.

“Harry Angel sets a clear standard in the British Champions Sprint, but on her Naas performance, Quiet Reflection will be among the colt’s biggest rivals at Ascot next month,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
