2016 WTA Finals: Kerber v Cibulkova odds
Angelique Kerber is on a five-match winning streak against last WTA Finals opponent Dominika Cibulkova, and all those victories had a hard court surface underfoot.
That leaves the women’s tennis world number one a firm odds-on 4/11 favourite to lift this end of season title. What are the 2016 WTA finals tips to take on the final, though?
Punters that are prepared to invest in Kerber v Cibulkova odds should look at the 10/11 available for the German to win in straight sets.
This is because 80 per cent of Kerber’s career victories over the Slovakian have come in straight sets. The German also destroyed and dumped out defending WTA Finals champion Agnieszka Radwanska, dropping just three games in an impressive victory.
Cibulkova can make a game of it
Cibulkova has proved her worth with a three-set win over veteran Svetlana Kuznetsova, though. That
alternatively contributes to making the form of her initial Red Group game loss in three sets to Kerber hold plenty of merit at a far better price of 11/4.
Although Cibulkova won the other Major meetings at two Grand Slams, the relevance of that can easily be questioned as these came way back in 2011 and 2008. That furthest back success came on clay, so is discounted.
If any case at all is to be for 9/4 match outsider Cibulkova, then it is for her to snatch victory in three sets at 9/2.
A 7/4 price says she will win the second set as she did a week ago, and Coral go 11/8 there are over 2.5 sets in this 2016 WTA Finals final.
Tiebreak bets a tempting price
Other Kerber v Cibulkova odds that appeal is backing the possibility of a tiebreak in this encounter.
Siding with at least one set going the distance at 5/2 makes sense because half of their eight matches on this surface contained a tiebreak.
All but one of Cibulkova’s other matches at the 2016 WTA Finals contained a tiebreak, and she’s already pushed Kerber to one, so this punt has a solid look about it.

Coral’s top tip: Pile on Kerber to take the title and victory in three sets at 11/4, as Cibulkova pushed her close in their WTA Finals opener.
