Odds and preview for this weekend’s NFL fixtures

Thursday night’s Thanksgiving football lived up to expectations, but Dallas Cowboys lost their traditional Thanksgiving match heavily to NFC East rivals Washington, finishing 41-16.

Houston Texans put together the complete performance behind QB Deshaun Watson, who threw for 318 yards with four TD’s in a 41-25 win over Detroit Lions.

But there’s plenty more gridiron action to come, with 12 matches on Sunday evening including the battle of the 7-3 records as Tennessee Titans take on Indianapolis Colts.

There’s still some uncertainty on whether Baltimore Ravens match against Pittsburgh Steelers will go ahead, moved from Thursday’s fixtures due to Coronavirus cases, before we end the weekend’s action with Chicago Bears taking on Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field on Monday morning.

Ahead of the action, we’ve previewed our pick on week 12’s matchups.

Miami Dolphins @ New York Jets (Sun 18:00)

Miami Dolphins tasted defeat for the first time in the Tua Tagovailoa era at the hands of Denver Broncos, ending their winning streak at five, with Tua being taken out by head coach Brian Flores after six sacks and only gaining 83 yards

With the winless New York Jets up next, they’ll seek to exploit the perfect opportunity to get back to winning ways as early as possible, while the Jets could pile the pressure on Flores if they pick up their first win of the season.

Brian Flores NFL

Dolphins remain the odds-on 1/3 favourites to win on the Money Line, while you can find the Jets at 12/5 to grab their first win.

Miami recorded a shutout in the first matchup between the two this season, winning 24-0. There’s 7/1 on the Dolphins winning by 19-24 points again here.

Devante Parker, Salvon Ahmed and Mike Gesicki are joint 7/2 favourites to score the first TD, while there’s 6/5 on Jets WR Jamison Crowder scoring anytime.

Tennessee Titans @ Indianapolis Colts (Sun 18:00)

Colts QB Philip Rivers put up huge numbers for the fourth time in his last five games in last weekend’s win over Green Bay, throwing for 288 yards with three TD’s, leading a second half comeback.

Rivers picked up over 308 yards the last time he faced the Titans, with Colts coming out 34-17 victors. Titans may be a whole new prospect this time around off the back of their 30-24 OT win over Baltimore.

Colts are still 8/15 favourites on the Money Line, though we could be in for a closer game this time around. Titans can be found at 6/4.

Derrick Henry had 28 rushes against the Ravens, running for 133 yards and one touchdown. There are fewer with a better running game at present, and he’s the 6/1 favourite to score first, with 123/200 on him scoring anytime.

Could we see the Colts come from behind in the second half again? There’s 5/1 on Titans leading at half time in a Colts win.

New York Giants @ Cincinnati Bengals (Sun 18:00)

The 3-7 New York Giants are finally finding their feet under Joe Judge, winning their last two and giving themselves an outside shot of winning the underwhelming NFC East.

Bengals will be without No 1 Draft pick Joe Burrow for the rest of the season after tearing his ACL in last weekend’s defeat to Washington, with Brandon Allen named his replacement for the season.

Giants are 4/11 favourites on the Money Line to join Washington at 4-7 in the NFC East, while the Bengals are 9/4 to grab their third win.

Leonard Williams NFL

We could be in for a battle of the defences, with Cincinnati coming in off the back of an impressive performance against Washington QB Alex Smith, holding him to only 166 yards. Giants QB Daniel Jones has been picked off nine times so far this season.

But after so many seasons behind Eli Manning, Giants have finally found a QB with a running game, and that could be something they look to utilise. He’s 5/2 to score anytime, while Darius Slayton and Giovani Bernard are 7/1 favourites to score first.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Sun 21:25)

It’s the first meeting between the pair in four years, and the Buccaneers got the better of the Chiefs last time. But it’s been all change for these two since then.

Brady has been one of the best QB’s in NFL history, while Mahomes is steadily making his rise to the top. The Bucs QB struggled last time out against the Rams, throwing only two TD’s while getting picked off twice.

The Chiefs defence are among the best in the league, which makes them 8/15 favourites on the Money Line, while Tampa Bay are 8/5 for the win.

It was a low scoring affair between the pair four years ago, with the Bucs winning 19-17. Fancy another game under 45.5 points? That’s 5/2, while Chiefs to win by 1-6 points is 16/5.

Chiefs are blessed with two high quality RB’s, with Clyde Edwards-Helaire rushing for two TD’s against the Raiders, plus Le’Veon Bell claiming one of his own. Edwards-Helaire is 8/1 to score first, with Bell 13/8 anytime. Buccaneers Mike Evans is 833/1000 to score anytime.

Chicago Bears @ Green Bay Packers (Mon 01:20)

Despite defeat last time out, Aaron Rodgers lit up the stat sheet with another three TD’s thrown, plus 311 yards gained against the Colts.

Bears are back from their bye week, looking to snap their four-game losing streak and put some heat on the Packers, who sit top of the NFC North.

Aaron Rodgers NFL

Green Bay are 2/9 favourites to win on the Money Line, while there’s 7/2 about a Bears win on the road.

Packers won the last meeting between the two in 2019 by 21-13. Think they’ll put in a more dominant display with Rodgers’ fine form? They’re 17/20 to win on the -8.5 spread.

Devante Adams continues to stay in the spotlight for his performances this season, and he’s 4/1 to score first, while RB Aaron Jones is 571/1000 anytime. Bears RB David Montgomery is favourite to score for Chicago. He’s available at 11/10 anytime.
