One Direction movie backed to smash the box office

| 20.08.2013
CORAL ENHANCED ACCAS

One Direction’s film This Is Us has been released today and Coral has started taking bets on the film beating the UK grossing record currently held by Skyfall at odds of 10-1. It’s as short as 1-33 that the group gross more than Justin Bieber’s movie Never Say Never worldwide, while it’s 12-1 that any member of the band land a lead role in a film next year.

Meanwhile, Niall Horan’s love life has also caught the punters attention and Coral are quoting 66-1 that the Irish heart-throb gets engaged to Ellie Goulding in 2013, but it’s more likely that they work on their music first, with Coral going 6-1 that the pair release a duet.

“Punters appear to have caught One Direction fever as well as fans, and we have been inundated with bets surrounding the success of the band’s new movie. The movie is projected to take about £120 million at the box office but given the hysteria surrounding the boys, we reckon it could even break the current UK grossing record of £102 million”, commented Coral’s Nicola McGeady.
