Arsenal now 9-2 in Premier League title betting

| 28.09.2013

Arsenal are now 9-2 (from 6-1) with Coral to claim the Premier League title after the Gunners extended their run of consecutive away wins in all competitions to 12 matches with a 2-1 victory over Swansea. The result means that Arsene Wenger’s side are now two points clear of second place Tottenham at the top of the table, and four points ahead of fourth place Southampton. It’s 4-11 for Arsenal to finish the season in the Top 4 with Spurs evens.

Chelsea, who came from a goal down to draw 1-1 with Tottenham, are 3-1 to claim a fourth Premier League title with Manchester City out to 11-5 (from 7-4) to win the league after they were beaten 3-2 away to Aston Villa.

Manchester United’s third league defeat in four games sees United eased to 6-1 (from 9-2) to successfully defend their title. The 13-time Premier League champions are now three points adrift of their rivals City and eight points adrift of the league leaders Arsenal. Coral quote 4-6 for City to finish the season above United.

“Prior to the start of this afternoon’s football nobody would have envisaged Man City and Man United both getting beaten. United were backed as if defeat was out of the question whilst City, 8-15 away to Aston Villa, were also seen as banker material by a lot of punters, said Coral’s Tim Reynolds.

“The title betting has now completely changed since the start of the new season with Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool all giving the Big 3 in the Premier League something to think about,” added Reynolds.

At the other end of the table, Crystal Palace are now 1-5 (from 1-4) to be relegated after they were beaten 2-0 by Southampton. The defeat means Palace have now lost five of their opening six league matches this season and sit just two points ahead of bottom of the table Sunderland, who host Liverpool on Sunday.
