Nicky Henderson’s horse, described by his trainer as “the best I’ve ever had”, won at the very short price of 1/9 last year and is the red-hot favourite to repeat the feat 12 months on.
He may have only been third in the 2011 Supreme Novices’ Hurdle, however since tackling fences he has soared and the son of Network also has the 2012 Arkle to his name.

Interestingly, it is Henderson himself who has the most likely challengers to Sprinter Sacre in the form of Captain Conan and Simonsig, however the Tony Martin-trained Flemenstar also has the scope to lay down a serious challenge.
