Manchester United, Southampton and Chelsea make up tasty treble

| 08.03.2014

Coral offer an enhanced 11/2 on away victories for both Manchester United at West Brom and Southampton at Crystal Palace along with a home win for Chelsea over Tottenham.

West Brom v Manchester United
When these two sides met at The Hawthorns last season, they shared 10 goals in what was Sir Alex Ferguson’s final match in charge of Manchester United.

It’s highly unlikely the net will bulge quite as often here, but it should still be an intriguing clash between two sides that have struggled at both ends of the table so far this season.

West Brom have won just one of their last 18 matches in all competitions and currently sit just one place above the relegation zone.

Hosts Albion haven’t beaten the Red Devils at home since 1984 in the league, with United having won the other previous six top-flight meetings there. The visitors are odds-on at 4/5 to claim their seventh.

Both Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney scored for David Moyes in United’s last league game, which was a 2-0 victory at Crystal Palace, and they are 10/11 and 6/5 respectively to net again here.

Crystal Palace v Southampton
Southampton’s great season was rewarded during the week as Roy Hodgson included four Saints players in the England squad for the 1-0 win over Denmark.

Adam Lallana and Luke Shaw both made second-half substitute appearances, with the former setting up the winner for Daniel Sturridge.

Mauricio Pochettino’s team sit comfortably in ninth place with 39 points and are 6/5 to claim their sixth away victory of the season at Selhurst Park.

Lallana certainly enhanced his chances of earning a place on the plane to Brazil after his performance, and the midfielder is 15/8 to follow that up with a goal against the Eagles.

The past four meetings between the two sides have all finished 2-0, with Southampton winning three of them. Back that scoreline at 17/2.

Chelsea v Tottenham
This pits the Premier League’s best home record against the top team on the road as Chelsea meet Tottenham at Stamford Bridge.

Jose Mourinho’s Blues are the only one of the top four in action this weekend, so three points here would extend their lead at the summit to seven points. They are odds-on at 4/7 to do so.

Frank Lampard, both at Chelsea and West Ham, has never lost a home game to Spurs. Brazilian attacking midfielder Willian makes for an interesting subplot to this game.

He faces Tottenham for the first time since opting to sign for Mourinho’s men instead of their north London rivals. Back him for a goal anytime at 7/2.
