Coral scoop two gongs at the EGR operator and marketing innovation awards
Leading British bookmaker Coral beat off stiff opposition to win the awards for Affiliate Marketing Campaign of the Year and Sportsbook Marketing Campaign of the Year at the EGR Operator and Marketing Innovation Awards held at the Pavilion, Tower of London.
The Awards cap a successful 18 months of aggressive investment by Coral in its interactive business, which has helped it post market leading growth. Results released in May showed gross profit 44% ahead of last year and stakes were 62% ahead driven by increasing active numbers and spend per head.*
Matt Prevost, Marketing Director for Coral Interactive comments, “It is a huge compliment to be recognised by our peers for our marketing. Our customers have responded to improvements we have made to our digital platform by helping us deliver market leading growth and now the industry has recognised our marketing initiatives with these two accolades. These awards cap a successful 18 months for the whole team at Coral and our external partners.”
Coral’s Cheltenham heroes marketing campaign, which adopted the Marvel comic’s tone and visual style was designed to honour the competitors of this year’s festival, won the Sportsbook Marketing Campaign Award.
To win the Affiliate Marketing Campaign of the Year Award, Coral developed an excellent working relationship with Rewards4Racing, closely aligning their efforts to provide Rewards4Racing members with points based upon their bets at Coral.
Josh Apiafi, Director at Rewards4Racing comments, “The achievement in winning this award is down to the strategic planning and insight between Coral and Rewards4Racing. Over 80% of racegoers bet whilst attending a race meeting, so utilising Rewards4Racing’s customer insight Coral have maximised the opportunity to market at a relevant and opportune time to our members, which now number over 500,000.”
