SPORTSBOOK ODDS

Plymouth swimmer Ben Proud is 4-1 with Coral to pick up further gold at this year’s Commonwealth Games in the men’s 50m freestyle event tomorrow. The Englishman is third best in the betting behind 9-4 favourite James Magnussen and 5-2 shot Goerge Bovell.

In the men’s 50m breastroke, South Africa’s Cameron van der Burgh is odds-on at 5-6 to win the gold medal, while Ross Murdoch is 6-1 to pull off another upset in the Glasgow.

“The swimming is almost coming to an end at this year’s Games but it has been such a popular betting event over the last few days. There has been patriotic support behind Ben Proud and Ross Murdoch in their respective events but the odds suggest they would have to get past some worth favourites if they were in win gold again,” said Coral’s John Hill
