Man Utd, Newcastle, Swansea and West Ham all to win in 90 minutes

| 26.08.2014

The Premier League clubs join the Capital One Cup for the second round, so take advantage of Coral’s enhanced price of 4/1 for Manchester United, Newcastle United, Swansea City and West Ham United all to win in 90 minutes.

Louis van Gaal’s men travel to MK Dons, the Magpies make a longer trip down south to Gillingham, while the Swans and Hammers host Yorkshire sides Rotherham and Sheffield United respectively.

MK Dons v Manchester United
This will be the first meeting between Man Utd and MK Dons (since their reform after Wimbledon’s demise), but the Red Devils are understandably heavy odds-on favourites at 2/5 to win in 90 minutes.

Premier League giants United have a point to prove after a slow start to the season, but Ander Herrera is likely to return from injury. Juan Mata and Wayne Rooney have scored this season so far, and are 8/1 and 2/1 respectively to get two goals or more.

Gillingham v Newcastle United
These two clubs have faced each other just once before, also in the League Cup way back in 1977, with the Magpies winning 2-1. They are 7/1 to beat them by that scoreline again, and odds-on at 8/15 for victory in 90 minutes.

Newcastle have an array of new attacking talent on offer this season in the likes of Siem De Jong, Ayoze, Emmanuel Riviere, Facundo Ferreyra and Remy Cabella. They are 5/4, evens, 5/4, 11/8 and 11/8 respectively in the anytime scorer market.

Swansea City v Rotherham
In-form top-flight side Swansea and Championship club Rotherham have met 75 times before, but only twice in the League Cup – back in 1964. The Welsh outfit are undefeated in those two games and are odds-on at 4/9 for victory again.

The Swans won 2-0 at home in the second of those League Cup encounters, and are 11/2 to record that scoreline again. For goals, look no further than Gylfi Sigurdsson and Wilfried Bony, who are 11/8 and 8/11 respectively to net anytime.

West Ham United v Sheffield United
These two sides have faced each other twice in the League Cup before, with the Hammers coming out on top on both occasions. They were 2-0 away winners (13/2 for that score again) in 1991, and 5-0 victors at home (50/1) in 1972.

West Ham go into this match at Upton Park as 8/13 odds-on favourites to progress to the next round in normal time. Back star Argentine forward Mauro Zarate to follow up his stunning volley against Crystal Palace to net first again at 7/2.
