All three promoted clubs to be relegated 20/1

CORAL ENHANCED ACCAS

Coral are offering odds of 20/1 for all three of last season’s promoted clubs; Leicester City, Burnley and QPR to all go straight back down.

Leicester City

Coming up as Championship winners, the east midland outfit last appeared in the Premier League in 2004 and have even dropped as low as the third tier of English football in that period. Current boss Nigel Pearson however will have a job on his hands to keep the Foxes in the country’s top flight. Unable to lure any proven top talent to the club so far this summer, Leonardo Ulloa is the club’s only outlay, and could prove to be expensive at £8m having joined from Brigton. Their only other signings of significance include Marc Albrighton and Matt Upson, both of whom were free transfers.

Burnley

In Sean Dyche, the Clarets have a hugely talented young manager. Nicknamed the ‘Ginger Mournho’, he has assembled a squad that could easily compete in the Championship if the club goes straight back down. Although effective, and clinical in the second tier of English football, strikers Danny Ings and Sam Vokes might struggle for goals against accomplished Premier League defenders. Steven Reid and Matt Taylor will add steel, although it is in attack where the Lancashire outfit may find it challenging next term.

QPR

Harry Redknapp has taken a gamble on Rio Ferdinand. He clearly has quality, but everyone will get to see just how much playing in a team with players less gifted than him. If it all goes horribly wrong for QPR in defence for next season, it could be an indicator of how much his Manchester United teammates have been carrying him for the past couple of seasons. Striker Loic Remy, although still on their books needs to be motivated to perform, and could still look elsewhere for European football. The squad needs to acclimatise quickly, otherwise it could be a torrid time for the west London outfit.
