CORAL ENHANCED ACCAS

Fresh from their victory over Widnes, Castleford head to across the Pennines to take on fellow semi-finalists Warrington, who lost to Leeds. The Tigers have made their mark this season and, as teams have found out to their cost, cannot afford to not take them seriously. Despite being 8/1 to record victory, they can go top with a win if St Helens lose, though for 48 hours only, however, the Wolves will be wounded following their cup exit to the Rhinos, and are odds-on at 1/20 to win.

The home side have lost two out of their last five games, while the Tigers are unbeaten in the same number, so are in good form going into this match. However, Castleford who take on the Rhinos next time out to contest the Challenge Cup final are expected to ring the changes with Michael Shenton, Mark Sneyd, Luke Dorn and Daryl Clark all due to be rested. Top Super League try scorer Joel Monaghan could take full advantage, and as a result is 5/1 to cross the whitewash first. The visitors’ best hope in the same market could be Ashley Gibson at 16/1.

Elsewhere, St Helens, odds-on at 1/9, host Wakefield, who are 11/2 and will be hoping to emerge from the round as league leaders. The home side will are expected to recall winger Adam Swift, while Greg Richards is being lined up to replace Luke Thompson in the pack. Tommy Makinson could be the home side’s best hope of scoring, and Coral have him at 6/1 to breach the in-goal area first, while Reece Lyne is 16/1 to do so for the Wildcats.

Salford are odds-on at 4/6 to beat Catalans, 6/5, who have suffered a drop in form of late. The Dragons have lost three games out of their last five, and now is a bad time of the season to start recording losses, with the play-offs looming. Despite Catalans’ leading scorer Morgan Escare is 7/1 to put the first four points on the board.
