Clinton backed to become first female US President in 2016

Hilary Clinton is being heavily backed with bookmaker Coral to be become the US president in 2016 where her odds have been cut into 5-4 (from 6-4) with the firm following a flood of bets, including a couple of four-figure stakes. The wife of former president Bill Clinton is odds-on at 1-2 to be the Democrat candidate for the next elections, while her likely opponent, according to the betting, is Marco Rubio, who is 10-1 second favourite to be elected as president.

“Punters seem convinced that Hilary Clinton is going to win the next US Presidential election and become the first female president in history. We’ve seen a lot of interest in this market this week with a couple of four-figures bets coming in for Clinton to take over from Barack Obama,” said John Hill, Coral spokesman.
