Back in-form Carlos Bacca to sink Yellow Submarine for Sevilla
All Spanish eyes will be on El Clasico this weekend, but there is also money to be made on a connoisseurs clash between Sevilla and Villarreal with Coral. The Yellow Submarine surfaces in the Bathtub here with a fine recent record of one defeat in the last four, so the visitors seem tempting at 5/2 for victory.
They really would be if it wasn’t for the presence of Colombia striker Carlos Bacca in Sevilla’s ranks. He has six goals in eight La Liga outings for the side second place in the table ahead of this round of fixtures.
Having proved himself in this league last term and helping the Bathtubs win the Europa League for a third time in eight years, Bacca’s side start as 11/10 favourites for three points. A draw, which has been the result in two of the previous four, comes in at 9/4.
Bacca has netted in back-to-back La Liga games prior to Villarreal’s visit to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, and thus makes for attractive value at 17/10 in the anytime market. He has sunk the Yellow Submarine before, helping Sevilla to win away at El Madrigal last term, so punters really should back this striker to do the business.
While the Bathtubs may be without Kevin Gameiro to partner Bacca in attack, there are also some former Premier League names familiar to British audiences on their books. Ex-Arsenal winger Jose Antonio Reyes is 3/1 for a goal anytime and former Everton loanee Gerard Deulofeu is 12/5.
Cameroon midfielder Stephane Mbia, meanwhile, may be a tempting bet, having bagged a brace in his last home outing. He was once on QPR’s books, but made a permanent switch to Sevilla this summer, and is also 3/1 to net here.
Villarreal, meanwhile, have Mexico forward Giovani Dos Santos, who played for Spurs, in their attack. He is a 23/10 chance to be on target, while their top scorer is Nigerian frontman Ikechukwu Uche, who is a 6/1 shot to grab the opener.
It’s Bacca that remains punters’ best bet for this encounter on Sunday, so back him now at a brilliant price.
