Bournemouth, Derby, Middlesbrough a brilliant 13/2 Boxing Day treble

| 26.12.2014

Festive football is by no means just about the Premier League! There’s money to be made on the Championship with Coral, and on Boxing Day we offer you an enhanced 13/2 treble on Bournemouth, Derby County and Middlesbrough, three of the current top six, winning.

The Cherries face Fulham, Steve McClaren’s men battle Birmingham City and Boro host Nottingham Forest. Each of the three featured teams in this tasty treble are odds-on or short-price favourites to win their respective matches, so the best way to get real value is to combine them and take this boosted price bet.

Here are some individual reasons why Eddie Howe, McClaren, Aitor Karanka and punters can be confident of three wins.

Bournemouth v Fulham
This fixture was last played in 1998/99 in the old Division Two, but Bournemouth have scored 11 goals in their last two league outings. That stat is ominous for Fulham, who have the joint-worst defensive record in the division, so Howe’s Cherries are odds-on 4/6 favourites to win.

Winger Matt Ritchie has three in his last couple of Championship appearances, and is a 5/2 anytime scorer chances. Midfielder Harry Arter (14/5), versatile attacker Marc Pugh (21/10) and top scorer Callum Wilson (5/4) have all netted in the previous two as well.

Birmingham v Derby
McClaren’s men face a Midlands derby at St Andrew’s, and start as 6/5 favourites because they have kept hold of their stars and Birmingham have not.

All of the Rams’ last five league goals have come courtesy of leading marksman Chris Martin, or fellow Scotland international Johnny Russell. This forward pair are County’s key players, which explains their anytime scorer odds of 8/5 and 2/1 respectively here.

Middlesbrough v Nottingham Forest
Boro haven’t lost at home since August and Forest are four without a win, so the hosts are odds-on 5/6 favourites for three points. Former City Ground academy product Patrick Bamford has scored three in his last four at the Riverside for Karanka, and is a 13/8 chance to come back and haunt his old club by netting against them anytime.
