Coral’s Premier League Market Movers as Man City narrow

| 01.12.2014
CORAL ENHANCED ACCAS

Following their goalless draw with Sunderland, Chelsea are out to an odds-on price of 1/4 with Coral from 1/6 to win the Premier League, with a busy Christmas period coming up, while Manchester City, who beat Southampton 3-0 at St Mary’s are now 9/2 from 6/1 to retain their crown.

With regards to the top four, this often isn’t decided until the business end of the season, however, punters can get an odds-on price of 4/11, having previously been 4/7 to maintain their current fourth place position.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are now odds-on at 4/7 from 8/11, having recorded a 1-0 win over West Bromwich Albion at the Emirates, as Danny Welbeck headed home, to net his sixth goal in all competitions, since his move south. The Gunners are just two points off fourth spot.

Southampton, however, have seen their odds drift somewhat, having been 7/4 and are now 5/2 following their 3-0 defeat to Man City on the south coast. Goals from Yaya Toure, Frank Lampard and Gael Clichy ensured the victory, and replaced the Saints in second spot in the Premier League.

Despite having edged out Stoke 1-0 at Anfield, Liverpool are now 3/1 from 12/5 to secure a top four finish. These odds will arguably have been influenced by other teams around them winning, though their odds could narrow if they string a good run of results together over Christmas.

For relegation though, QPR are now out to 11/8 from evens, having beaten Leicester 3-2 at Loftus Road, as Charlie Austin netted what turned out to be the winner on 73 minutes. The Foxes though are 13/10 to go down, from 7/4 and prop up the Premier League on 10 points, though only one point from safety. They take on Liverpool next in the league.

Wayne Rooney’s odds for Premier League top goal scorer have dropped dramatically from 40/1 to 28/1. The 29-year-old striker scored the second as Louis van Gaal’s Manchester United beat Hull City 3-0 at Old Trafford.
