Do they know it’s Christmas? Premier League managers’ wishlist

| 24.12.2014

Coral review what every manager in the Premier League wants most for Christmas! Here is the first installment.

Sam Allardyce
Glasses perhaps? The West Ham manager recently compared Diafra Sakho to Michael Owen and Mark Viduka. No questioning his talent, but he’s a good half a foot taller than England’s former international!

Steve Bruce
A favour from ex-club Manchester United in the transfer window would be well timed. Having won trophies with the Red Devils, he still retains a good relationship and the Tigers, odds-on at 4/11 to stay up, might benefit from some fresh faces.

Sean Dyche
Having reportedly said he is ready to ‘explore European opportunities’ for Burnley in January, get him a map, phrase book and sun cream. It gets hot down in the Mediterranean even during winter.

Mark Hughes
A winning Euro Millions ticket should do ‘Sparky’ nicely, having said he is not ruling out a January spending spree. Stoke are 7/2 for a top 10 finish.

Alan Irvine
He could probably do with some gloves after West Brom midfielder Craig Gardner stung his hand with a high five after his goal against Aston Villa. Be more prepared next time Alan!

Ronald Koeman
His own exclusive line in Christmas jumpers, modelled by Saints striker Graziano Pelle, who has said he’s better looking than Cristiano Ronaldo.

Paul Lambert
Needs to know what is going on at the club. Villa being sold to a rich owner and for them to give him a load of cash to spend might make his Christmas.

Roberto Martinez
After coming up just short in his pursuit of fourth place last season, adequate compensation could be a trophy. Not many would begrudge Everton a Europa League win, and it probably couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.

Garry Monk
Sleeping pills would be well received, or even a full-time nanny after saying he gets little sleep with two young twins. Having said that, something to settle his stomach may help even more after calling Swansea’s recent defeat to Spurs “sickening”.

Jose Mourinho
What do you get the man who’s got everything? Easy; a quadrouple for Chelsea. And some more records to own, after hitting 400 Premier League points the quickest out of any manager.
