Boyhood is the 2-5 favourite with bookmaker Coral to be crowned Best Film at next month’s Bafta Film Awards ceremony, with the film’s director Richard Linklater 2-7 favourite to win the Director category, after the nominations for this year’s awards were unveiled today.

British star Eddie Redmayne is 4-5 favourite to triumph as Best Actor for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking in The Theory Of Everything, while Julianne Moore is red-hot 1-6 favourite to win Best Actress.

“There is a strong British representation among the nominations for this year’s Bafta film awards, although the odds suggest the home team may be up against an extremely strong rival in Richard Linklater’s Boyhood,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
