Depleted Hammers hoping to claim another draw with Baggies

CORAL ENHANCED ACCAS

West Bromwich Albion and West Ham United have already faced each other twice this season in the Premier League, and they are set to duel once again at The Hawthorns in the FA Cup fifth round this time.

It ended 2-1 to the visitors in this top-flight fixture in December, and the Hammers (11/1 competition fourth-favourites with Coral) are 2/1 chances for victory in 90 minutes again, and 10/1 to do so by that scoreline.

The Baggies, though, are priced as 11/8 favourites, and can take heart from the fact they beat West Ham here last season 1-0. For that scoreline once more in West Brom’s favour, you can back them at 15/2.

This is one game that could go to a replay, however, as the two top-tier teams have drawn six of their last nine meetings. A share of the spoils again is 23/10.

Sam Allardyce may have to travel to the West Midlands without a number of players, though, as Cheikhou Kouyate and Andy Carroll left the field injured in the 0-0 draw at Southampton in the Premier League. Keeper Adrian, who was sent off, has won his appeal and is available to play.

Kevin Nolan, Mark Noble, James Collins and Winston Reid, meanwhile, are all major doubts, and Allardyce spoke with uncertainty prior to this FA Cup fixture.

“We’ve still managed to secure a point, but my fear is unfortunately that the extra effort we have put in with nine men will maybe take its toll when we play Saturday in the FA Cup at West Brom,” he said.

“Andy is out and there were some real tired legs out there and I saw Cheikhou limping off at the end after another terrific performance. I can only hope that Kevin and Mark are fit. I think it will come just too soon for James Collins and Reidy.”

Tony Pulis, on the other hand, is without just Jonas Olsson and Victor Anichebe for this tie, but can rely on want-away striker Saido Berahino, who netted against the Hammers this season at Upton Park. The young England Under-21 star is a 6/4 chance to score again anytime.

For West Ham, they will be hoping star striker Diafra Sakho can be on target again, as he got a goal against West Brom last time out. He is 2/1 in the same market.
