Bayern Munich resume their quest to win the Champions League as they take on Shakhtar Donetsk in the last 16, with the German giants odds-on with Coral at 4/11 for victory the first leg.

It seems their little recent blip is over, and they have won twice since losing 4-1 at Wolfsburg and drawing 1-1 to Schalke. Last time out they beat Hamburg 8-0 with Thomas Muller, Mario Gotze and Arjen Robben each bagging a brace, the latter scoring the pick of the bunch.

The Dutchman is 7/1 to score two or more against the Ukraine outfit, though, despite netting 14 in the Bundesliga, he has only scored two in the Champions League so far. It is in fact Muller who leads the way for Bayern in Europe’s elite club competition with three strikes, and is 9/2 to score first.

However, it is Shakhtar’s Luiz Adriano who comes under the spotlight, and the competition’s current top scorer (on nine goals) is fantastic value at 10/3 to score anytime.

Even though Shakhtar are at home, the match has been moved and will be played in Lviv to the west of the country for safety reasons, however, previously at home in the Champions League they have recorded a 5-0 victory over BATE Borisov.

Behind Adriano on three goals is Alex Teixeira, who is 11/2 in the anytime market, while Gotze is also on three strikes for Bayern and is 5/1 to open the scoring. Robert Lewandowski also dispatched in the Hamburg mauling and the Pole is 4/1 to grab the first goal.

Of concern for the hosts is that duo Bernard and defensive anchorman Taras Stepanenko will miss the match, however in Douglas Costa, Taison and Dentinho they have plenty of attacking options. The former was recently linked with Chelsea in the January transfer window, before they signed Juan Cuadrado, and is 7/1 to net anytime.
