Bookmakers fearing former champion Sprinter Sacre

CORAL ENHANCED ACCAS

After a hammering on day one of the 2015 Cheltenham Festival, bookmakers are fearing more of the same today if Sprinter Sacre (7/2) wins the Queen Mother Champion Chase at 3.20pm. The 2013 winner has been one of the best backed horses of the week and punters have been playing up their winnings on Nicky Henderson’s runner this morning with Coral’s heroes offer.

In the Coral Cup at 2.40pm, the sponsor is offering six places to mobile and online customers and as a result they have seen a lot of each-way business in the race since announcing their place terms. Goodwood Mirage (12/1) has been the most popular, while Au Ptits Soins and Actival are solid at the top of the betting at 10/1.

Earlier in the card, Don Poli has been cut into 6/4 from 7/4 in the RSA Chase and it is Willie Mullins’s chaser who has appeared the most in multiples so far today.

“The bookmakers will be desperate to get a good set of results going their way today. In  an ideal world, we would like Don Poli beat early in the card, otherwise we are likely to be on the back foot once again after the opening couple of races,” said Coral PR Manager, John Hill.
