Cheltenham Heroes: Peace And Co 6/1 for new Coral punters in Triumph Hurdle

| 12.03.2015

Trainer Nicky Henderson holds an unbelievably strong hand in this year’s Triumph Hurdle, which is headed by the unbeaten Peace And Co.

In three starts, he has gained a tall reputation. On his debut at Clairefontaine when trained by Christian Scandella, he made every yard of the running and jumped beautifully when not extended by jockey Ervan Chazelle. He was then sold to Simon Munir and Issac Souede who sent the horse to Henderson.

Peace And Co’s UK debut at Doncaster was possibly the most impressive performance seen by a juvenile since Our Conor’s thrashing of a fair field in the 2013 Triumph Hurdle. He was plenty keen enough for Daryl Jacob but throughout the race, he did everything in such a effortless fashion when beating Starchitect by 19 lengths unextended.

To get more experience and to teach him how to settle, connections decided to go for the Triumph Hurdle Trial on Festival Trials Day, where they wanted to drop him in rather than make the running. His rivals knew this and tried to mess the race up for him and for a couple of moments at the start, it looked possible he would pull away his chance. Despite that, his turn of foot was impressive and whilst he seemed to be all out in repelling Karezak, it was job done.

Here at Coral, we have another price enhancement regarding Peace And Co, and we will be going 6/1 (T&Cs Apply) and the guaranteed stronger pace should help him plenty. He definitely looks the one to beat.
