Chelsea host Stoke with Premier League title in sight

| 04.04.2015

We’re into the business end of the season where every point counts, and, barring any major catastrophe, Chelsea can be confident of lifting the Premier League trophy once more. They are substantially odds-on with Coral at 2/5 to take three points from their match with Stoke City.

All the stats stack in the Blues favour, with the Staffordshire side having failed to score in six of their last seven fixtures against their hosts. A win to nil for Jose Mourinho’s men is better at 7/10.

Last time out Chelsea edged to a narrow 3-2 win over Hull City, getting off to a blistering start with Eden Hazard scoring after two minutes. The Belgian is 4/1 to grab the opener and add to his tally of 16 goals in all competitions this season.

In December, John Terry netted first at the Britannia after a couple of minutes to give Chelsea the lead, before Cesc Fabregas sealed the win in the second half. They are 5/1 and 23/10 respectively to score anytime.

Diego Costa, meanwhile, also scored last time out, though has seen Tottenham centre forward Harry Kane draw level with him in the Premier League goal charts, with the duo now joint-leaders on 19 strikes. He is 2/1 to net two or more.

The Potters are without a win in two, and lost to Crystal Palace most recently. Their form player is former Manchester United striker Mame Biram Diouf, who has struck twice in Stoke’s last three matches and has odds of 4/1 in the anytime market.

Peter Crouch, meanwhile, will relish the match-up with ex-England colleague Terry, and is also 4/1 anytime, having scored against the Blues last season when Mark Hughes’ men ran out 3-2 winners at home. Potters top scorer Jon Walters is available at a 5/1 anytime price.

Willian, is the only player left at the club currently, who netted in this fixture last term, when Mourinho’s Blues ran out 3-0 winners. Both Frank Lampard and Mohamed Salah were also on target, though the Brazilian is a decent 5/2 chance in the anytime market.
