Man Utd can finally start dreaming of Champions League place again
Manchester United (12/1 with Coral in the outright betting without Chelsea) can all-but assure their place in the top four, and thus make a return to the Champions League, with a win at home against West Bromwich Albion.
The Red Devils, who have six victories in their last eight in the Premier League, but lost their previous two coming into this clash, are odds-on favourites at 4/11 to get back to winning ways here.
However, the Baggies have the capacity to cause a shock at Old Trafford, as they did last season by beating them 2-1. They are tempting 8/1 shouts for victory again, or 4/1 to claim a draw, as they did at The Hawthorns earlier this campaign.
Saido Berahino in particular has enjoyed facing United in the past two terms, having netted twice. The Burundi-born attacker is 11/4 to score anytime, and 8/1 to get the last goal, as he did in this fixture last season.
Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie have been the heroes for the Red Devils in recent fixtures with West Brom, though the duo are doubts for this encounter. If fit, they are both odds-on at 10/11 to net anytime.
But there could be a start for Radamel Falcao on the cards, and the Colombian will be hoping to get on the scoresheet if he is to have any chance of signing for the club on a permanent basis. He has only found the net four times so far in 23 league appearances, but is an even-money chance in the anytime market.
One man that Louis van Gaal will be hoping is fit, though, is Michael Carrick, who has been one of the outstanding stars this term for United. The England international is a doubt for the match, as are defensive duo Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo, and all have missed the last two fixtures.
As for West Brom, they are seven points above where they want to be, in this case from the relegation zone. Tony Pulis’ men are up in 13th at present, but are seemingly safe, given their long odds of 200/1 to go down.
