Super League: Hull FC travel to Leeds Rhinos in first of double header
Hull FC are 11/4 with Coral to beat Leeds Rhinos at Headingley, in the first of a double header against the West Yorkshire outfit.
Lee Radford’s side welcome their next opponents to KC Stadium in the following match in the Challenge Cup, however, must first focus on the task in hand, especially after losing to Catalans Dragons last time out.
Radford was going to make changes for the trip to Leeds, though admits that this is now unlikely to happen. It means that former Rhinos star second rower, Gareth Ellis could still play and has 4/1 odds to score anytime.
Mark Minichiello and Jordan Rankin who both crossed against the Dragons are 10/3 and 2/1 in the anytime market, while Leon Pryce who scored a brace in the Airlie Birds’ defeat to Leeds earlier in the campaign, is 11/4 to crash over during the match.
“Getting the two points in Catalans would have put a different focus on the Leeds game on Sunday,” Radford told local media.
“By not winning it has made the Leeds game even more important.
“We had planned on mixing the squad up and giving some of our fringe players a go at Leeds before the cup game, but that approach is likely to change now.
“We have to win some games in an important period for the club and our selection will reflect that.”
The Rhinos suffered a blow against West Yorkshire rivals Castleford Tigers last time out, which saw them slip from first to second in the table.
Ryan Hall, who hasn’t been as prolific as he was last season, picked up four points and he is 6/1 to score first as a result. Leeds won 43-12 earlier in the season at the KC Stadium, with Danny McGuire and Rob Burrow both scoring two apiece.
They are 11/10 and 7/4 respectively to cross anytime, while Kallum Watkins who also scored four in the match is 8/ 11 in the same market.
