League One: Blades can maintain top six spot with win at Bradford

| 20.09.2015
CORAL ENHANCED ACCAS

Sheffield United are a terrific 12/1 with Coral to repeat their 2-0 win at Valley Parade from last season, as they travel to a Bradford City team struggling to find form this term.

The Blades are under new management in League One promotion specialist Nigel Adkins, who is 15/8 to steer the Steel City side to victory in West Yorkshire. Phil Parkinson, meanwhile, remains in charge of the Bantams and they are 6/4 favourites to win this derby. A draw, which has been the outcome in the last three meetings at Bramall Lane, is an 11/5 chance.

Bradford must start improving, especially as they are likely to kick-off much closer to or even in the relegation zone if other results go against them, so greater consistency is needed from striker selections James Hanson and Devante Cole.

Long-serving Hanson has just two in seven outings across all competitions this term, so looks short at 6/4 in the anytime market. Cole, son of outstanding ex-England striker Andy, meanwhile, is the same price and better value.

Sheffield United have the frontman in form, though, with Billy Sharp now in his third spell as a Blade. His striking edge is no less sharp with four in his last four league outings, so that’s why he is 5/4 to net again anytime, and 5/1 to fire home first.

In support of Sharp comes a mixture of old hands and new faces, despite the departure of Jamie Murphy. Young forward Che Adams has made explosive impacts right from the start of his United career, and is 13/2 to score last. Martyn Woolford (7/2 anytime) and Jamal Campbell-Ryce (5/1 in the same market) represent more mature wide options open to Adkins.

For punters looking for players who have scored in this fixture before, Marc McNulty for the visitors fits the bill, and he is an 11/4 anytime chance.

Coral’s top tip: Poor Bantams form means the Blades are the team to back at a fabulous 15/8.
