Five fantastic Jurgen Klopp clips showing coach’s quirky character

CORAL ENHANCED ACCAS

Liverpool-linked manager Jurgen Klopp looks set to replace Brendan Rodgers on Merseyside, and Coral have already outlined the thrilling football philosophy Anfield can expect.

But what about the man behind the success? Below are five cracking clips that show just what wild ride Reds fans could be in for should Klopp be their next coach…enjoy!

He likes to get involved
Not one to simply stand on the sidelines, watch as former Borussia Dortmund boss Klopp over enthusiastically tries to control a loose ball. In this clash against Schalke it was an official who was on the unfortunate receiving end of the former striker’s ‘skill’. No wonder he ended up switching to defence!

Honest to a fault
After succumbing to the bitter blow of a Champions League final defeat to fierce Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich, contemplative Klopp did not hold back.

Jose Mourinho would certainly have a competitor for most quotable Premier League coach should Klopp arrive in England, where Liverpool are 9/4 to finish in the top four. We are not sure this one will catch on in the family stands though!

Klopp’s angry face is formidable
Liverpool fans once bemoaned ‘Fergie time’, but who could blame match officials for being intimidated by a boss who pulls these kinds of faces?

Here, then-Dortmund coach Klopp reacts instinctively when stopper Roman Weidenfeller is sent off in a Champions League clash with Napoli (5/2 to win Serie A), but ends up seeing red himself for his rather terrifying altercation with the fourth official.

“I made myself look like a monkey out there and that’s not on,” said Klopp. I overstepped the mark and it was really pathetic of me.” We wouldn’t mess with him.

Celebrate good times
He may resemble the incredible Hulk when angry, but Klopp also knows how to have a good time. Anfield will surely be hoping to see barn-storming celebrations such as this, when the German boss dashed onto the pitch and past a pensive Pep Guardiola, to join his team after dispatching Bayern in the 2015 DFB Pokal semi-final.

Hats off!
Klopp may have to buy a red hat if he rocks up in Liverpool, but his famous yellow cap was once doffed in very English style to laud Sebastian Kehl’s strike against Hoffenheim. To be fair, the spectacular, extra-time match-winning hit deserved it. Classy.

Finally, as an extra, Klopp is also not adverse to a little advertising. Already experienced at acting in automobiles, the charismatic German could be starring in a Liverpool/Nivea advert near you soon!
