Wigan Warriors are odds-on 10/11 favourites with Coral to beat Leeds Rhinos in the Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford, with their West Yorkshire opponents aiming for what skipper Kevin Sinfield has called a “special treble”.

After winning the Challenge Cup final, Leeds clung onto top spot to claim the League Leaders Shield and followed up with a significant 20-13 play-off semi-final win over last season’s champions St Helens.

For Sinfield, as well as a number of other players, it will be his last game in a blue and amber jersey, with the 35-year-old switching codes for next season to join Yorkshire Carnegie.

“It’s never been done in my time so it would be really special,” Sinfield said of the club’s treble prospects. “I’m looking forward to it and I’m pretty relaxed at the moment. No doubt I’ll be nervous on Saturday.

“I want to enjoy it and there’s a lot of people who have played a huge part in my career and it would be nice to put on a good performance for them.”

Sinfield, who has served the club as man and boy, is 11/2 to score anytime, while Jamie Peacock also features for the last time and is 9/1 in the same market.

Ryan Hall, Kallum Watkins and recently named Super League Man of Steel Zak Hardaker all crossed against the Saints last time out and are 9/1, 12/1 and 14/1 respectively to cross first. Winger Tom Briscoe, meanwhile, who stole the show in the Challenge Cup Final with a record five tries, is 6/5 in the anytime market.

For Wigan, John Bateman scored a brace last time out in an emphatic 32-8 win against a tough Huddersfield Giants outfit and is 2/1 in the anytime market. Winger Dominic Manfredi, meanwhile, also scored last time out, as well as earlier in the season against the Rhinos, just like Bateman, and is nicely priced at evens in the anytime market.

Opposite number Joe Burgess, is one of several players looking to bow out on a high, with the prolific 20-year-old heading down under for next season to play in the NRL.
