Bookies slash the odds on record wind speeds across Britain

| 13.11.2015

As storm Abigail tears through Britain, bookmaker Coral has been forced to slash the odds on the record wind speed of 173mph being broken to 8-1 from 10-1 following a flood of bets overnight.

With a deluge of torrential rain battering the country also, Coral go 7-1 from 10-1 that this November is the wettest ever, while it’s odds-on at 1-2 that it snows this weekend.

“Storm Abigail has sparked a flood of bets on a November being a miserable month of rain, wind, and snow. However, before the storm arrived, we had unusually mild temperatures so we are hoping the weather reverts back to that,” said Coral’s Nicola McGeady.
