London derby swapsies: 3 is magic number for Chelsea and Spurs

With the highly anticipated London derby between Tottenham and Chelsea just around the corner, Coral take a look at which three players the other club would take from their opposition to aid them in their efforts to get all three points.

Britain Soccer Premier League

Home side Spurs are 8/5 favourites with Coral for the match, and will be keen to keep up their good momentum this season, with the club vying with Arsenal for a place in the Premier League top four while trying to hold off West Ham United, though Chelsea know the importance of a win, with the Blues currently 10 points behind their opponents.

Let’s take a look at which three players Spurs would take from Chelsea right now

Cesar Azpilicueta

Arguably, the one weak link at Spurs this season is down the right hand side. The Spaniard is one of the most consistent performers for the Blues and his versatility of being able to play on either flank is a huge help. Tenacious in the tackle, industrious and a useful outlet, Tottenham wouldn’t have to think twice about having him.

Linked with the Brazilian before he made the move to Chelsea, the 27-year-old has established himself as a free-kick specialist this season, an option that Spurs would gladly take. He would also fit nicely on the right hand side of an attacking trio providing Tottenham with guile, width and genuine pace.

Loic Remy

Spurs need a back-up striker and while Remy fulfils that role for Chelsea, he would play more of a regular role than he currently does at Stamford Bridge and could even dovetail delightfully with Spurs’ main centre forward.

Harry Kane

What Chelsea would give to have this goal machine this season. Kane fits the bill brilliantly and links up with his midfield a lot more willingly than Diego Costa. Kane is a great price at 6/4 to find the net anytime against the Blues and if he moved west, could well be the man to get the best out of Eden Hazard again, with the Belgian struggling so far this term.

Mousa Dembele

Along with Kane, the Belgian has been linked with a move to Kings Road in the winter window.

Jose Mourinho wants to add more dynamism to the Blues midfield and Dembele is understood to be the subject of a £20m bid. Should he move, he can definitely help to rejuvenate the champions with his all-action style.

Christian Eriksen

Chelsea have lacked spark this season, with Hazard and Cesc Fabregas appearing to have gone off the boil. The Dane definitely has this in abundance and could well be the one to get the best out of misfiring Costa.
