Coral’s bet of the day

  • Danny Garcia stopped Paulie Malignaggi late last year
  • Ruben Guerrero has lost two of his last four fights
  • Undefeated Garcia boasts 18 career knockout wins

Garcia 13/8 to KO Guerrero

Coral’s bet of the day comes from Danny Garcia’s awaited bout with Ruben Guerrero on Saturday night, when ‘Swift’ is a tasty 13/8 to knockout his challenger and claim the vacant WBC welterweight title.

Garcia (31-0, 18 KOs), an American fighter of Puerto Rican descent, finally collides with ‘the Ghost’ Guerrero (31-3-1, 18 KOs) following an extremely heated final press conference between both parties, which resulted in a scuffle ahead of the title scrap at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The two challengers for the WBC crown saw their fathers almost come to blows during those final press duties, before such a scenario was eventually broken up, but the bad blood is sure to boil over when Garcia and Guerrero meet in the ring.

Guerrero has awoken the devil

Ahead of the welterweight title encounter, Garcia claimed that his 32-year-old opponent has awoken the devil inside of him and he plans to end proceedings early.

“I want to thank Ruben Guerrero because he’s awakened the devil. I can’t wait for Saturday night to show the world what Danny Garcia is all about,” declared Garcia.

“I feel fast, I feel strong and I’ll see everyone Saturday. My dad and I are chilling right now, we’re business men. They set it off and they woke us up.

“He never faced a guy like me.”

“That’s the last thing you want to do to us. I’m going to bring the heat. He never faced a guy like me. I’m sending a message.”

With the possession of a deadly left hook among his other superior qualities, including much more speed and astute ring movement, Garcia is sure to be a danger to Guerrero in their bout, with age evidently having effected the latter in previous outings.
