Bournemouth boosted by signings ahead of Irons encounter

Hosts Bournemouth (21/20 match favourites with Coral) feature in one of a trio of top Tuesday evening games, as the Premier League returns following a weekend of cracking FA Cup action, with West Ham United the Cherries’ latest guests.

Viewers will remember the sublime spectacle these two teams provided in summer, when the Cherries had not long secured top-tier status, with seven goals scored at Upton Park as the south coasters edged the Irons 4-3. With that scoreline still fresh in the memory, customers can grab great odds of 12/5 for over 3.5 goals to occur again.

Much has changed since then, however, with Eddie Howe’s men overcoming an injury-ridden patch to poach two superb winter signings in fierce former Wolverhampton Wanderers frontman Benik Afobe and (awaiting clearance) Argentine attacker Juan Iturbe.

As the Cherries continue to claw clear of the drop zone, and the Hammers attempt to hang on to a top six spot, punters should expect a gung-ho approach, with new Bournemouth boy Afobe available at 5/1 to dispatch last on his mooted debut, or 5/4 in the anytime market. While, Iturbe is 7/4 to strike should he feature.

Hammers recently hapless away from home

West Ham have also had their own injury crisis to worry about, which has been reflected in their recent slump, though three wins on the trot across all competitions suggest that blip has been ironed out.

Yet, customers may want to pause before pouncing on a generous 13/5 price for Slaven Bilic’s boys to pinch three points. As, in stark contrast to the beginning of the season, the capital club are struggling away from home.

West Ham have, in fact, not triumphed on their travels since October, a stretch of five frays. So, should you favour the London claret and blue, a splitting of spoils at 12/5 may be more appealing.

Dean Court dangers

The guests have regained their nose for goals of late though, which makes the Cherries intriguing at 13/4 for victory but both teams to score after the pair both bagged weekend FA Cup wins.

Croatian Nikica Jelavic notched the winner versus Wolves and is a tempting 2/1 to strike again anytime for the visitors, while hitman Andy Carroll and string-puller Dimitri Payet provided a pair of cameos and are respective shouts at 7/4 and 2/1 in the same market.

While, aside from new acquisitions, Bournemouth may still be without sidelined striker Callum Wilson, who hit a hat-trick to down the Hammers at home last time, but can call upon goal threats Glenn Murray (6/1 to open the scoring), Matt Ritchie (7/2 to strike anytime) and Joshua King (7/4).

Aston Villa v Crystal Palace

Palace to pounce on Villans unrest

In the other untelevised Tuesday evening scrap, Crystal Palace are an excellent 29/20 price to make off with all three points from their scuffle with struggling Aston Villa.

Palace have lost just once to relegation-threatened Villa in their past five meetings, and have already beaten the Birmingham-based club this term, with nifty odds of 9/1 for a repeat 2-1 result.

Remi Garde’s faltering Villans remain rock-bottom of the division on just eight points, as the gap with their rivals grows ever bigger. Without a league win since the opening day, they look unlikely at 11/5 to win, or even the same price to end evenly, following a drab FA Cup third round draw with League Two Wycome Wanderers which saw skipper Micah Richards have words with disgruntled fans.

Pardew’s men to march on

While, Alan Pardew continues to do a superb job at Selhurst Park, and seeks to cap off a sensational few days after his Eagles knocked Southampton out of the FA Cup with another win away here.

The Londoners do require a little more of their previous lethal form in front of net, however, and will be looking to recent goal hero Wilfried Zaha (10/3 in the anytime market) and previous scorer against Villa Bakary Sako (6/4). While, wily midfielder Yohan Cabaye is always worth a punt at 13/2 to fire in the final goal.

As for Aston Villa, Garde will be hoping moments of spark shown by the likes of striker Rudy Gestede (11/2 to get scoring underway), plus fellow forwards Jordan Ayew (7/4 to score anytime) and Scott Sinclair (15/8) can be converted into goals.
