Coral’s Rumour Reel: Madrid to Real in Robert Lewandowski?

Madrid chasing Munich marksman Lewandowski
The possibility of a transfer ban does not appear to have put La Liga giants Real Madrid off planning to poach from their rivals this summer, with Los Blancos ready to pounce for the Bayern Munich and Poland predator.
If morning reports are to be believed, the Spanish capital club will swoop to make Munich an offer they can’t refuse, with lethal Lewandowski earmarked as a £75m man. With gaffer Pep Guardiola departing after this term, and Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti taking over the reigns, it may be all change at the Allianz Arena.
Louis van Gaal leaving Man Utd?
Meanwhile, over at Old Trafford, rumours are rife that under-fire Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is set to fall on his sword and resign following the recent loss to Southampton.
After the match, Van Gaal told press: “I’m very disappointed that I cannot reach the expectations of the fans.
“They have – or they had – great expectations of me, and I cannot fulfil them, so I am very frustrated because of that.”
Though tabloids suggest the Red Devils hierarchy are divided over whether to retain their coach, or who to hire should the Dutchman depart, it looks as though it is the media which can’t decide, with both Jose Mourinho and Ryan Giggs tipped to take over this morning.
Dybala, Suarez gossip from Serie A
Italian football also stars on the back pages, as Juventus and Argentina prodigy Paulo Dybala responded to questions of a Premier League switch. The in-form Arsenal and Man Utd target dashed hopes as he said: “I’m liked in England? I’ve just ended playing a match, I scored a good goal and I don’t think about this.”
Though, the Red Devils are currently said to be scouting Serie A for other reasons, with Genoa goalie Mattia Perin, only 23 but tipped for the top, apparently interesting the Mancunian club.
While, Fiorentina midfield man Mario Suarez, previously believed to have snubbed Hertfordshire side Watford, is reconsidering his options and could reunite with Hornets boss Quique Sanchez Flores. Though, Liverpool may provide late competition for the Spanish shield.
Drawing interest from Italy, on the other hand, is ex-Napoli star Ezequiel Lavezzi. A free agent in summer, Chelsea are rumoured to be circling the current PSG forward, but Scudetto chasers Inter Milan are instead eyeing a January cut-price move and might beat the Blues to the Argentine.
In other Serie A gossip, Roma are preparing to flog former Arsenal attacker Gervinho to Chinese side Jiangsu Suning as they aim to refresh the Stadio Olimpico ranks.
And finally, in the most eyebrow-raising breakfast rumour, West Bromwich Albion are being linked with Liverpool-owned striker Mario Balotelli, with the Italy international set to return from loan club AC Milan.
