Sheerness punter bags over 300k on Coral’s Football Jackpot

CORAL ENHANCED ACCAS

A 21-year old man from Sheerness, Kent, is more than £300,000 richer this week, after he landed leading bookmaker Coral’s unique Football Jackpot by correctly predicting the results of 15 football matches. The punter, who staked his £96 bet online at coral.co.uk, was the sole winner of last weekend’s bet, meaning he landed £306,139.60.

Coral’s Football Jackpot is a pool bet which accumulates each weekend if the top prize is not won the week before, and this jackpot had rolled over for 12 weeks.

The Derby fan, who regularly plays the Football Jackpot, was delighted to be the only winner of the top prize. He said: “It’s a fantastic start to the New Year and it has come at a great time for me as I am in the process of moving house. I’m going to help my Dad with his mortgage and also try to have a nice holiday somewhere soon.”

“When I was looking through the games before the weekend, the one which I had a really good feeling about was Oxford who were up against Swansea. I really fancied an upset in that game and it proved to be the case,” added the 21-year old.

Coral spokesman John Hill commented:  “It’s never easy predicting 15 correct football results, especially on a FA Cup weekend where there are always a few shocks in there so we really have to tip our hats to our sole winner who could not have asked for a better start to 2016.”
